Chairman: Michael Boyd
Michael Boyd is the Chairman of TDI. He is a graduate in Commerce from University College Dublin, a Barrister-at-Law and completed the OPM programme at Harvard Business School. Michael has worked in international development consulting for over thirty years. He is the former Chairman of British Expertise.
Managing Director: David Uglow
David has had over ten years experience in international development having previously provided consultancy services to UK agricultural businesses, Action Aid and DFID. David has a PhD from the School of Management at the University of Bath and now lectures there periodically to Environmental Management students. He also has a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Reading and a MSc in Development Studies from the University of Bath. He takes responsibility for TDI’s activities in Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America.
Company Director: Simon Foxwell
Simon commenced his career with the TDI group of companies in 1999 and he is now a Director. He is responsible for TDI projects in the Asia/Specific Region Key initiatives have included expanding the company’s work into new markets including Afghanistan, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands and consolidating its position in China and Vietnam. Simon has a BSc in Agricultural Economics and Business Management (1st) from Newcastle University.
Regional Director: Michael Parker
Michael has been involved with TDI for over 18 years. During this period, he has acted as a TDI Team Leader on projects in Moscow and Central Asia, Project Director for projects in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Romania and a Project Manager on projects throughout the European Neighbourhood Region. He is currently finalising his Masters in Strategic Management and has a research interest in technology transfer and knowledge commercialisation. He has recently returned to run the European Neighbourhood division of TDI after a period running an educational media company in Dublin, Ireland.
Member of TDI Alumni: Catherine Devlin
An independent consultant who continues to provide advice to TDI on projects in Jordan, Tanzania and in an advisory capacity across a range of trade and investment related projects. Catherine has been involved in the establishment of export and investment promotion agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Jordan, Latvia, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Yemen and Zimbabwe. She has working on matching grant schemes for exporters in Bangladesh, Slovakia, Slovenia and Tanzania. Catherine was one of the original ‘founders’ of TDI and has contributed greatly to its success.
Senior Project executive: Bettina Neligan
Bettina joined TDI in January 2006 and has since been responsible for the management of Lot 11 (Public Finance Management, Macroeconomics and Statistics) of the Framework Contract. She has been involved in the Development Business since 2000 and has a background in law and international executive search. She is fluent in English, German, French and Italian.
Project Executive: Emma Ryder
Emma has worked with TDI since March 2006, and is currently employed as Project Executive of the European Neighbourhood and Middle East Division. She graduated from London Guildhall in 2001 with an HND in Business and Finance, and gained a BSc in Economics from Queen Mary in 2004. She is a member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment and is working on furthering her knowledge in the area of environment.
